- What did you like most?Breakfast was good, perfect for getting a busy day started! Bed was very comfortable but we struggled in keeping a cool room even though one could regulate the temperature control the room never seemed to reflect the set degree. Loved the colors and room design! Lovely mouldings, wonderful French doors opening onto the balcony … perfect! Having a suite room gave us the needed room and made our stay more comfortable and relaxing. We greatly appreciated the early check in. Kudos for the hotel’s flexibility with check in times! The tasty complimentary treats were always enjoyed. Very nice. Location is fantastic! Staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Although the hotel had no control of the renovations/building being done on an adjoining building, I never once thought of having to ask this when in communication because I believe the hotel should forewarn incoming guests of the noise disruption, fortunately noise (very loud jack hammering/sawing at times) was not evening/over night hours. Lack of hooks, knobs, coat rack, towel bars, anything like this … two small knobs to place towels after showering in one bathroom and the other toilet area had nothing to place a hand towel after washing hands. Where to place a wet/damp coat after entering room from being outside with snowy and rainy days … surely not on the furniture or floor. Maybe this is customary in France; we two Americans found it unusual to have no additional hooks, coat rack, whatever. Not hanging damp bulky coats in the small clothes closet … fine size for our clothes but not our coats too. Filthy glassware at the bar area. We had to wash before using and even replacement glassware was dirty. At check-in when shown the room we were told still water (our preference although we did not request) would be placed in the refrigerator because when we were given the tour of the room the refrigerator was shown and the lack of was noted. Check in was 5th of January. 8th of January still water appeared. We checked out early morning, 9th of January. I could go on. My friend and I both work in the hospitality industry and so much rests on the very important small details. Lastly, not a fan of the shower area. Size very good but the small tile and drainage placement unpleasant for footing. These above details reflect what should be, considering the price. Small, indeed, but important.
